Coils for Simplex

Post by Hofling »

Hi all,

Do you know if the Simplex accepts other coils than the one it comes with?

I was looking at their website and if we search, there is only one the (28cm - 11inch) that comes with from the manufacturer.

From those of you who know the business much better, is this common for a new detector?

Thank you !

Christian

Hi Paul,

not really wanting anything yet, because only been out twice!
But one of the Guys here in our area just got a new coil, and it seems he is getting different things in the fields that he already has searched for before many times.
So just for curiosity I looked up for coils for the Simplex, and could not find any.

So just to know if coils for other Nokta Makro would be able to be used in the Simplex.

Thanks, Nina is 8 and very smart! She really had a good time.

Christian.

We call them the old coil meaning first coil. They had shielding problems so the coil was redesigned as a new one.

Hi,

well, I just it twice really, mostly on the field mode, with one less sensitivity.

But I am not having any issues with the coil, in my view it is working fine.
I asked about other coils because I see that other Nokta detectors and other brands have different coils available, High Frquency, etc (I don't really know much about them), but not for the Simplex. So I was wondering why other coils from Nokta would not work on the Simplex.

Were you asking abut my coil because you thought I was having problems?

Thank you for the interest anyway.

I heard that before I bought mine, in December.

But I don't know for how long they were sold before that.

Production was stopped and replacement coils were distributed as soon as the production resumed. The problem as i heard it was a supplier of the screening material sent under spec material.
The good news they recognised the problem and sorted it. Lots of companies deny they have a problem.
D.J.I. the drone mfg rely on customers to beta test their firmware then produce a patch, gets right up my hooter.. :(

Yes I can see the problem. That’s for the cable to run up inside.

"another" arrived this Morning :D No worries , It still fits, but I`ll have to try a bit of Silicon mastic to fill the gap up with then smooth it off. ::g Apparently there`s a dire lack of ability for obtaining Anfibio bottom stems.
