M - Measure items by doing the pics next to a scale or ruler. this is Mandatory
M - Machine used? settings? interesting to other users.
Y - You will always get a better ID if you supply more information.

Numbers wouldnt suggest a date I don't think especially since the styling doesnt look too old but I could well be wrong.

Not sure those are numbers, the 4 looks just like an angle only and the 5 doesn't seem.to follow through fully. Trying to read patinas and part erased detail is enough to send anyone bonkers sometimes. The only common lead messages I have hesrd of are roman, but who knows, certainly intriguing.

Could the "5" be an Arabic letter?

It's certainly an interesting bit of lead. I'd let the FLO ponder over it.

I suspect it is a piece of lead guttering taken for reuse. If you do a google search on dated lead guttering you will see some examples. I found a lovely piece several years back regretfully weighed it in with my lead scrap
