Which coil

Post by hyde mark »

Hi

im thinking of purchasing a second hand etrac
Unfortunately the etrac doesnt come with a coil as it was damaged
Can you recommend a good allround coil that would do for most conditions

Thanks mark

Etrac stock coils are brilliant, for a bit of extra coverage with possible a bit more depth then the Ultimate for me is the way to go.

For trashy areas, the 6 x 8 Sef coil is second to none, If you end up with all 3 coils you will then be equipped for everything. ::g

Detech Ultimate ::g Never took it off when I had the E. Great depth and separation and the balance of the machine seems better with the 13" coil.

Not took the 13 ultimate off since getting it. It IS deeper AND more sensitive, well worth considering.

would be the ultimate and a nel snake 6.5" x 3.5" for trash areas. no idea how good the new nel snake is yet ,but i heard the sharpshooter is very good ,so i would think even better separation with about 8" max coin depth .
i found the tinest bit of silver today with a 5" fitted ,it picks up in-air at 2.5" .when my snake arrives i will air-test if it does any better than std 5".
unless you only work pasture your gonna need two coils.
