No problem with the AT on the beach but I stay in pro mode and ground balance once for dry sand, again for damp sand and again for wet sand and lower the sensitivity to cut the chatter as needed, I stay at zero discrimination and the machine works well, its a great tool all round.
Our friend the Ferrett has cleared about a half a ton of goodies off local beaches with the AT, cant be bad.

I forgot to mention, theres a fantastic youtube clip by John Howard using the AT, just put UK BEACH HUNTING WITH THE AT PRO INTERNATIONAL , it will tell you all you need to know.

A good beach machine as already mentioned ,but there are some beaches that you have problems trying to ground balance it, It depends what part of the UK you live. Beachboy 70 ::g

Indeed so. I used a Garret AT on some beaches and wasnt very impressed. I switched to the Deus and after some fiddling managed some finds. I suppose its horses for courses realy

i have been using the at pro at the beach for a few months now and find it very stable machine however i dont tend to use the vdi as im used to tone only machines and still produce some good finds
but like someone else said depends which part of the country you live as others further north have slated the at pro

Great on beaches. I do keep manually adjusting the ground balance between wet and dry sand though.
