Settings pro or standard

Post by Kimbo » Sun Jun 24, 2018 3:29 pm

Hi everyone,
I have been detecting for over year now and have had some nice Victorian coins however my goal is to find Roman . I have been advised by the previous owner of My Garrett at pro to stay on standard coin mode however my gut feeling is telling me I'm missing finds can anyone please give Me a setting guide for Roman coins that works for them .
Kind regards kimbo

Hello 'Kimbo', I'm not a Garrett user but it seems from other respondents on the AT Pro that the preference is to operate in the 'non-standard' - (Pro-Mode) if that's what it's called. Hopefully a user who knows the machine well will be along shortly to offer fuller advice::g Good luck - Regards ss47

Yes indeed, trial and error is a great thing, it's what most of us have to undergo to gain experience.
Of course there is a shortcut to be had along the way and that's to learn from the errors of others so you don't have to go through the experience yourself :D ::g Regards ss47

Hi Kimbo.

My recommendation would be to use the Pro Zero mode, discrimination set to 30-35 and Iron audio off. You can flick the iron audio on to check out any iffy signals.
Nokta Impact, Deteknix wireless headphones, Nokta Pointer and worm digging equiment. Ibanez RG 1570Z when it is raining.
