I have been out today in a stubble field and now and then as the detector coil hits a bit of stubble I get a signal of coins but go over it again and again but don't get another tone?
Am I missing coins or is this just when the coil gets knocks?
I have marked the areas in case I get any answers on here

This happens sometimes to everyone at times I think, I know it does with me if I swing and hit a hard bit of stubble or a big mound of hard earth etc it will beep. Coils are quite sensitive, hope you do have lots of coins though!

Its usually caused by hitting the stubble, not alot you can do about really,if the stubble is still stiff as in this year harvest then most people use a small 5'' stubble busting coil as it can then get in between the stubble,if its rotten stubble then it should be alright, the worst type of stubble is rape stubble as that is like cane.
It happens with most coils, not alot you can do about it really but just take it slowly

Yep, just one of those things, it happens to me too. After a while you get to ignore those signals as your brain realises you hit something!

its just one of those things m8 .as long as you double check and if no signal then walk on .or if you want to pull the stubble out then go over it ,if that would put your mind at rest . sometimes turning the sens down a bit helps

Just make sure the coil cable isnt too loose and hanging over the coil, apart from that its as already said, coil sensitivity
Just dig it and put your mind at rest
