Sick and poorly Euroace

Post by Arborman » Mon Oct 03, 2016 1:07 pm

Hi guys. My Euroace has started signalling uncontrollably at the very slightest movement of the machine or touch of the coil. It's totally unusable! Have any of you experienced this problem and is there a cure? I have been looking to upgrade but right now I don't have the funds. The thought of no detecting quite frankly is depressing! I'm very interested to hear wot you guys have to say. Hope there's light at the end of this target free tunnel. ;;z

Have you tried to contact Regtons? they have a great repair dept that will look at the machine and let you know what they find. Sounds like possible water ingress into pcb to me though or a dodgy coil (which is what my euroace had last week). I upgraded to a nel Tornado coil from Regtons Ebay store and havent looked back since. Are you able to try another coil to eliminate that as a possible issue? Good luck.
As the Germans 'might' say:-

new XP Deus/11in coil: 1 silver sixpence 1 foot down!! most impressive.

Bad coil, try another coil and see if that cures the problem.

Had this problem on my Sea Hunter a few weeks ago.

A new coil fixed it completely.

Thanks for your help guys. Think a guy at the club has a Euroace. I'll ask if I can try his coil

This is good advice.. hope you get it sorted Arborman. I had a Euroace and it's a good machine..
Found loads with mine and that too could be a bit sensitive. Do the above which I found cured mine on a few occasions. ::g

I've had the machine just over 2 years now an found some nice things. Hammered included. Factory reset it regularly. I feel I know the machine inside out. I'm going to try the coil first. Deep down I know I need another machine though. It will be repaired, nice to have a back up an hey, it's my friend ::g

I regret selling mine. A good machine especially on pasture I found! ::g
