NEL Tornado coil for EuroAce?

Post by DirtDigger89 » Mon Sep 05, 2016 1:27 pm

Hi peeps,

Im looking into a coil upgrade for my Euroace, although the DD coil works great, i wanted to know if anyone has had any experience with the tornado? I know you get more ground coverage with it but what is it like for depth and sensitivity and any general thoughts on it.

Many thanks for your help

Dirtdigger,
have a look at this very recent thread http://www.metaldetectingforum.co.uk/vi ... do#p794750

Although gray724 and myself both had the Garrett Ace 250, rather than the Euroace, we both upgraded to the Nel Tornado and had very similar results to each other. I suspect, rather than know, that you might well find the same with the Euroace.

Hi Dirtdigger,
I have the tornado coil on my euroace and agree with the above link.
I use it only on pasture, it does obviously give you more ground coverage and may go deeper than the standard coil but pinpointing with it is more difficult, so until you get used to it you will be digging bigger holes!
Good luck.
