Post by Bee Per » Wed Jun 06, 2018 7:17 pm

I have now got the Q40, but I am unable to turn the volume down!
Any ideas?

Volume switches are on the side of the main box on the handle.

Yep, got that, but when the minus button is pressed for 4 seconds I can still hear the detector, granted not as loud but certainly not muted.

Doesn't matter how long I press the minus button for there is still a quieter tone even though the volume curser on the top of the screen is blank.
Hope I haven't got a faulty one.

Just tried mine. It's the same, it's very muted but you can still hear it. Why do you want to completely mute the volume anyway?

It's not a real issue
I just thought mute would mean silence, but if yours is the same that's reassuring,
Got to say the instruction manual is one of the briefest I've seen for a detector!

Think I've got it sussed, can navigate the menu now and I hope to get it down the beach over the weekend to have a proper play, have got a arm cup wobble though, cannot get the screw provided to fasten tightly, will have to think of a work around. All in all though quite impressed with it, and thanks to Detectorbits it come with finds bag, box cover and a cap.
