Coil fault

Post by Discosfa »

Hi,
I have a xl deus with 11” coil that has developed a fault.
Symptoms are continually chattering with random numbers on all programs except deep that doesn’t work or pick anything up at all.
Tried 2 different control units and both had chatter and deep program problems.
Like wise my box worked fine with their coils.

Any ideas
Roy

Have you tried re-installing whatever software version you're using?

It may well not fix your coil's woes, but it's worth a try.

The chatter and random numbers could be a sign of moisture in the coil windings due to a knock causing a crack in the resin. Worth removing the coil cover to inspect or eliminate that possibility. ::g

Have cleaned and checked but can’t see anything not sure why deep program won’t work 🤔
I am currently discharging it then I will recharge it.
As I said it would not work with 2 other control boxes.
Going to ring regtons tomorrow.
Roy.

Sounds like your coil may be cracked.

You are so right.

A simple phone call is the answer.
