Predator tools raptor trowel

Post by chip » Tue Jan 30, 2018 7:22 pm

Anyone know where I can get one of these in the uk.
You can buy them direct from the states but they want £28 postage + £11 handling on top of the price of the trowel.

Thanks

Why consider buying from the US when we have specialist manufacturers here in the UK?
Take a look at 'Evolution' . Regards ss47

Somebody else posted this not long ago but can't find the original post - I got one from my local Homebase (cost £6.50) - well made, sturdy and it does the job.

I have an evolution digger, but it’s not scoopy enough and I would prefer an offset handle like on a pointing trowel.

Spear and Jackson make a good archaeologist’s trowel. Higher offset than a pointing trowel to save knuckles. My DB has got one and seems to like it.

OK, I didn't know there was a specific requirement ::g Have you looked at the forum 'shops'? There are several makes/types listed and I believe prices are cheapest on the net! Cheers ss47

I have a 4” archeological pointing trowel I carry when using my spade which works well (I found carrying the evolution digger aswell as a spade was not really necessary and was just extra weight on my belt). The raptor looks perfect for my needs as a trowel only option on pasture.

This Saxon one from HB looks just right and for £3. The one I use now I found while metal detecting
it has a wooden handle so will pick one up on the way home tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up ::g
