New Evolution mid point grip for sand scoops.

Post by neverneverman » Tue Jan 20, 2015 10:38 pm

Evening

We have introduced a new scoop mid shaft grip for 2015 to our existing line up. We have made it to fit our stainless steel shafts and will also fit the wooden 28/29 mm shafts.
Here's a few pics and Steve will add it to the MDF Auction site tomorrow with more details and price.

Thank you Paul.

How about some sort of clip on ski for the bottom so that we arthritic oldsters can drag it behind us between holes with out it filling up with sand , as at my age I get a very sore shoulder carrying it after a very short time.so much so that I am searching the web for a lightweight scoop, which is a pity because otherwise I love evolution scoop.

Not sure what we could do about the dragging of the scoop but I have revised the hole pattern on the 360 scoop and made a few tweaks to drop this down to 1.2kg.
The new Type-R is 1.5kg and the Pro at 1.8kg.

It should be possible to couple the new 360 to a good wooden shaft and come in at around 2kg which I believe is about as light as you will get.

The material could be dropped to 1.5mm like some of the scoops coming in from abroad but I won't compromise strength for this bit of weight saving..

Thinking of putting the scoop head in a plastic bag between holes to stop it filling with sand with perhaps a small cup hook screwed into the handle to hook the bag handles on to stop it dragging off?will give it a try and post the results.

Just an update to say we will be supplying these with the tightening knob as shown below.

We will likely leave the allen headed bolt in also to give the end user the option on tightening method. ::g :D
