Just a quickie to say that we are checking out lots of land for this event and as soon as we decide the best option we will post up the area location. Lots of other stuff being prepared as well of course! Cheers, Liam ::g

Hello Liam, just a quick question. Bongo67 would like to bring his son with him, his son doesn't detect but because of Bongo67's back issue he does do some of the digging for him. Would he need to pay for him.

Cheers ::g

No, that's fine, he can come along and do the digging. Its different from the situation where we have had two people sharing one machine, taking it in turn to detect and only wanting to pay for "one machine" ;;z Cheers, Liam :;@

Cheers Liam, I don't think the lad has a lot of interest in detecting, it's more about bmx's and hotrods. ::g

Was going to book a hotel in Norfolk but wanted to check where people are going as I'd rather head for a hotel where other MDFers are booked. Am going to be there Friday and Saturday evening.

Personally I favour camping as a few others do - although it has been said that 'transport will be available', that can't surely be available to everyone attending - it would be useful to know a.s.a.p. whether the intended site is north, south or whatever of Norwich.

Hi Phil, still chatting with farmers re the best places. I want the land to be all together if possible so that the camping area is adjacent and everywhere is walkable to and from. Will report back asap, should be soon, Liam ::g

Hi Liam

Thanks for that but maybe we're talking at cross purposes - I appreciate that camping will probably be available on-site (presumably without facilities other than running water), but I'm thinking (as others may be?) of booking in advance at an established camp site reasonably close to the venue. Now I don't mind roughing it for a night or two, but three nights without a shower? I don't want to lose any more friends!

All your ongoing efforts are greatly appreciated Liam and I know that you'll put together a great event, come what may.

Potential of site is more important than convenience. Having already driven 4 hours to get to Norwich happy to travel 30 minutes each dig day. Happy either way, can't wait!
