You could try to find a new permission Dave to improve the quality of your finds for next time.

Scrap? I'd sell my firstborn to be finding stuff like you've brought.

The A1 searchers club dig on the 29th is close to St Neots, just of the black cat roundabout off the A1. I can't make it unfortunately.

Just checking if the meet up on 8th Oct in Trumpington is still planned. I’m new to the game and in the Cambs area so would love to get advice and guidance from others if OK?

Cheers.

Another nice evening in good company (including two new members) - thanks guys.

A reminder to anyone in and around Cambs that we are an open club/group and we'd welcome interest from from others.

Next meeting will be on Monday 12th November at a new location, the Rose in Stapleford from 8pm onwards. All welcome, we've been very successful so far with some very interesting finds brought along, especially f8met, who seems to be something of a finds magnet. It's good to see things in the flesh, so to speak. Pictures of them on here are great but it's nothing compared to holding items that have been buried for centuries.

Work has been very busy of late so I've been snowed under all week and weekends. It'll ease up towards Christmas time though so will be along in December.

Hi, meeting up sounds a great idea. I'm fairly new to detecting but found lots of Roman coins but have few people to chat with about finds and tips.

Next meeting is coming up quickly, 8th July. The Rose in Stapleford is our regular venue, and it'll be a year since our first meeting. Anyone in the area is warmly encouraged to come along. Feel free to get in touch with me for more details.

Cambridgeshire, now there’s a county I’ve not been for many years,
Great gidding and the little giddings, beautiful, and gave up many many hammered .
I remember it for the only time I’ve had 3 hammered all exactly the same straight after each other in 3 different holes .
Really must pop back some day ::g

Dear all,

just joined the forum searching for information about metal detecting. My daughter and I are keen to have a try at this, but I have to tell I don't even have a metal detector. My plan is to get one soon.

So if you are meeting somewhere soon, I would like to join to get basic information and meet people who are really into metal detecting.

I live in Trumpington area.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Christian.
