Hello from the East Midlands

Post by rustynail » Sat Jun 19, 2010 12:16 am

Hi everyone, I figured that it’s time I introduced myself and try to prove that I’m not such an oddball detectorist after all. I live in what is known as the East Midlands, and if you’re not sure where that is…. It’s somewhere up north, well, north of Staffordshire anyway. I have to admit that this is one very friendly forum, and I don’t regret having joined you lot one little bit, well not yet anyhow. If you come across me in some far flung field, make sure that I’m actually detecting. I’ll be the one with the big bag of rusty nails. <:-P

Will I? Won't I? What kind of silly question is that?

Agghh! the rusty nail scenario is it? Are we talking handmade or mass produced nails?

Well I thought I lived in East Mids but we definately not north of Staffs. I always saw East Mids as Derbyshire eastwards to include Notts Lincs and pos Liec.

Geography not my strongest point lol

Them nails be big, square, black and I be afraid of them... Actually, old rusty be from a place a little northeast of Staffordshire, more in the county o' Derbyshire... sad place, but beggars can't be choosers. Do you want to know something, OS? For a very long time, I thought I lived in the northwest, but some silly twerp comes along and says otherwise, so I have to accept it. :)) Well Furrener, nails be nails and they're a damned pest, unless they truly be old handmade ones, then I'm sure to find a lot more than my namesake. =))
