My name is Ahimsaka and I'm from Muir of Ord village 30 minutes outside Inverness (Scotland)
I'm a complete newbie to detecting I normally collect sea glass, sea pottery from the Rosemarkie beach. I zero permissions have written and spoken to local farmers with no results which I hear is the norm.
If someone who is local would like to buddy up or help a newbie I would be very grateful.

You come from a lovely part of the country, but it can be a bit bleak in winter.
Getting permissions is always hard. But as you are in Scotland and already get out on the beach looking for sea glass why not detect at the same time.
Here are the rules for beach detecting in Scotland (which are different to England and Wales) -
