Compatible wireless headphones

Post by Ian 1971 »

Looking into getting the simplex plus, but as money is tight I'm trying to see what's the best route/choice. With headphones or not??? I'm trying to get a definitive answer as to can you use ANY wireless headphones that are bluetooth and if so is there any lag issues? Throughout my research I'm getting conflicted answers.. thanks for any advice. The cheap headphones is my preferred route if possible, until I can get enough cash to get the proper ones, at least then I can go out and use mine machine!

Hiya. Unfortunately not. Only Green or Blue Nokta Makro headphones work.

Take a look on eBay or amazon at a Bluetooth transmitter called MPOW
You can use your own BT headphones.

Also the simplex isn’t Bluetooth it’s actually WiFi. You’ll need the simplex ONLY pack because it’ll come with the headphone adapter.
If you buy the WHP pack it DOES NOT come with the lead.

All clear.

Yep, tried lots of Bluetooth headphones with it...doesn’t work. You need to buy a Bluetooth transmitter to plug into the headphones socket if you don’t want the official headphones

That’s because the S+ is WiFi.

Use it without headphones until you can afford them.

I thought about that, but also am under the belief on some digs the organiser could ask for headphones to be worn

Use the set up mentioned in my signature line...costs about £40 in total and worked well.

Stick some velcro on the transmitter and another piece somewhere convenient on the detector and you are good to go...

Re the headphones, if the ad is the same one, they accept offers and I got mine for £15....

Carefull with transmitter...it must say it's aptX otherwise they won't be low latency and you will get some lag....
