Question about golden mask devices?

Post by Dani5 »

Hello, I am looking for a detector to a good depth. I have been advised by a shop owner in Germany, Deep Hunter Pro 3 SE. I have seen clips on YouTube that reach the depth of 40cm metal coins and also for a military helmet that reaches 150 cm depth. Is this true? I hope you have the experience to tell us.

hello, that is a very specialist pulse induction metal detector more suitable for those on WW2 surveys and such like for deep buried objects but the small coils are ideal for your coin hunting , not sure if any MDF member have or would use one, pulse induction detectors are mainly for beach detecting in the UK and VLF for land, check out the review on this web site admin Link not working , if you do buy it let us know how you get on ? good luck

Thank you for your reply. I will tell you the result after testing the detector on the ground

You might find our jargon buster useful viewtopic.php?f=10&t=24899

Discrimination is where you set the detector to ignore certain metal types ::g Usually it’s iron ::g
Carpe vinum

XP Deus !!£$ I use the HOT programme on 17khz, reactivity at 2.5 on v5.21 with the X35 11” coil

normally we discriminate out ferrous

most field are full of nails, bits of broken machinery, horseshoes, nuts and bolts, plough shear and so on.

around here there's around 1 iron target for every metre you move forward. But if there's been bonfires, rubbish pits or machinery broken down it increases to several per swing.

there's nothing wrong with digging every target including iron. However most of use have limited time and digging out thousands of targets eats up your time.

some fields its going to take hours to just walk 100 yards.

PI detectors have there uses. Great on clean beaches. Or if you are looking for a tank were you would ignore the smaller signals

But for most of use discriminating machine is more useful

Your country is an industrial country for more than 150 years. Iron has been used in it. Scrap is scattered everywhere. In my country, there are rarely iron pieces such as nails and engine parts. There are things from an ancient era at a depth of 2 meters and more for this I am looking for a detector up to this depth

hello, it has a setting called TRASH which would be the same as Disc but i would not say as effective as we know with VLF.

hello, yours is called TRASH on that detector, read the review on www.hobby-detecting.com , the way to check is have a piece of small metal/iron and put under the coil with the setting on 1 and turn up the numbers until the sound stops or what we say nulls out,

hello, this is not a detector you can use straight off with out a realy good read on the instructions and on that web site, try each mode, make a test bed of different metal items like gold/silver/copper/ brass/bronze/ etc and see what comes up on the sound and signal screen, once you understand how it works you will be able to use and get the best way detecting. there have been some fantastic finds in Syria using a metal detector good luck

There isn't a PI out there at the moment that can reliably discriminate in the ground.

But that doesn't include the new Fisher which is to new to know

you can increase the delay so you don't pick up foil but you will also a lot of other good targets. Great for finding a tank or ammo box type of thing at depth with a large coil. With a 8" or 10" coil there will not be much difference between a PI and VLF on depth unless the ground is highly mineralized.
