Out This Weekend with the ORX

Post by bsabill » Sun Dec 09, 2018 3:48 pm

Sold my deus as it was getting a bit old, And wanted a new detector so made sense to go for the ORX and use the spare X35 coil from the deus, I only used 17 - 18 khz with deus fast
So saturday went on a club dig with the midweek searchers and used the ORX for the first time using coin fast 17kh and struck gold with a bronze age hair ring coming in at 50 on the screen and around three inches deep. found a few buttons, coin weight and crotal bell.
Went out today with the southwest detectorist metal detecting club
Finding an iron age brooch at 7 Inches roman grot at 5 inches and a few other items but very hard going
So do i rate the ORX Yes its as good as the deus and just as easy to use

Congregations on your gold, Orx doing the business.
I'm wondering if the Orx software is more suited to the X35 coils.
