Made me smile ....hardly surprising they do something to respond.
I take a detecting Magazine here in France Détection Passion 8-| (A very French title)
Anyway, the title isn't the only thing that is very French. The content shrieks protectionism. (Try finding a decent foreign wine in a French supermarket and you'll know what I mean :)) )
Several full pages of ads for XP (its a French firm afterall so no surprise) ...A double spread flogging the V5 and another full page for the pinpointer. Plus the dealer adverts....lots of XP and some Garrett (not in direct competition so thats OK) but only one mention of the Equinox squeezed into a page spread from Planete Detection.
It would be quite easy to read this mag and not know Minelab had a new machine. Perhaps they are late distributing them here.....but the silence in French publications has been deafening. The only ad for Minelab was a page for the CTX3030. Again, not really a direct competitor as such.
I got the distinct impression that the mag had decided to ignore the Nox and hope it goes away. :)

Shoulda called it the AuX, a bit more 'global' than the ORX, which is tres Francais.

Or ... bearing in mind XP are actually Xplorer, they could've called it AuXplorer.

Not sure how long the arm rest will last with that new design.

A really high frequency at 81khz. So looks like these coils are even higher than the X35.

It's just a choice of the two currently available HF coils isn't it?

I think a lite would still be a better option, this is purely for gold hunters.
I've read that apparently there are only 3 frequencies, the additional being offsets for interference.

The frequency range will be determined by the coils, so yes it'll be three on the HF coils and five on the X35 coils.

It just seems to be a watered down version of the Deus, so it's a big yawn from me. It appears to have been introduced solely to generate more sales in the mid-range market, which is currently being dominated by a competitors product that I won't mention, lest my post shall be deleted ;)

You can use the orx remote with HF and x35 coils but don’t know if you can use it with ws4 headphones as the orc has its own new headphones with less function than the ws4s

Which leads me to believe that the orx full is the only way the orx can be used, needs the remote to work. If you bought an oRx and ws4 seperatly and left out the remote you would be using a deus lite.
