ID Challenge No.15

Post by Blackadder43 » Fri May 24, 2019 6:20 pm

What Ho my luvvers
Thefiggis was demanding extra Jelly Beans for the amount of work he puts into these ID challenges (Lighthearted comment but he really does put a lot of work into it)
Well, as generous as i might be i were having none of that, says I !!
So here is my efforts at this game

These i dont think have been on the forums, if they have then no doubt one of you will point it out to me and i'll do another
I'll also throw in a second one too as a bonus to keep you all occupied in what appears to be a quiet time in the detecting world
Good luck and as always all will be revealed at the end of the 4 days or when i remember =))
Have a stab even if you're not sure :-*
No answers are shown as they get secretly emailed to us in a private forum, then we put them all up at once after the 4 days are up, so you can all compare and debate how easy it was

So yer tiz, click [Link to ID form] and your answer will be secretly sent to my jelly bean stash dungeon, which is dark and creepy and you dont want to go down there

second coinage Alexander III for me (24 pointed star, open C & E,straight sided lettering & unbarred A etc, spink 5053 in the Irish - Scottish book) other looks to be Henry III VLC class Vb( central Fleur reaching between ''E & N'' in henricvs, Wedged tailed ''R'' looks like & style of ''A'' in ''RIC/ARD/ONL/VND (RICARD moneyer London mint) If the ''R'' in Rex is pellet toe then could possibly be a Va/Vb mule (see what the Maestro says :)

Alexander III penny.

Henry III penny, Ricard, London, and the bit I always get wrong, the class...

Class 5, I think, and I can't narrow it down any more than that!

Thanks for a nice challenge, BA. In return, I'll not badger you for anything owed me by way of jelly beanage for a whole week ::g (though the interest will, of course, still be mounting up).

It's also good to see so many answers in agreement. Well done all, and thanks for having a bash ::g
