New Rutus Ultima - A lot of detector for the money.

Post by Bargeman »

Bob79 pointed me in the direction of the new Rutus Ultima, a two frequency machine, and an awful lot of detector for the money, £365 at a retailer and I am sure it will be available through the MDF shop soon. ::g

not looked at this machine properly but 8 or 16hz would be a good choice for general detecting.

I see that it has a working mode of simultaneous, would this mean both 8kh & 16khz running at the same time?

No Mud Max, you can choose to run at 8 kHz or 16 kHz but not both at the same time .

Think it's the motion disc and non motion all metal working simultaneously.

No need I guess. Quite a few coils don't have covers. Probably has a very strong construction and uses a hard resin.

Hi folks,
I am looking at the Rutus Ultima, but I can't find the length of the machine. I am quite tall, (6'5'). Can someone give me the dimensions please?
Many thanks

It certainly looks a very good choice if you are looking for a detector that is reasonably flexible and yet within a modest budget. Not everyone wants, or indeed is able to, spend the sort of prices required for some machines available.
If I hadn't sorted myself out with an upgrade for my old machine I would seriously consider this. In fact, at this price it would be a very sensible option for an additional/ back-up machine as well.
