It's either waterproof or it's not. I don't get why the manufacturer apparently claimed 1m submersible, which would make it waterproof, yet this 'Jason' guy who apparently represents them now says well it's not really. Which is it seems anyone's guess. Confusing stuff. x;

Maybe it's submersible in a timescale :-/ anyway how would salt water behave on the machine , :-/ there's got to be someone who knows

On another detecting site I saw images of a guy using one in the sea (Shallows) and its lying in the water on the sandy beach.

Mind you Iam to old to paddle these days. ;) :) 8-| Jerry.
