Deteknix Wader Li protective end caps too tight !

Post by beaubrummell » Tue Jan 05, 2016 1:18 pm

Hi all

OK I have my Wader all charged and I've set it to my personal preference i.e. vibrate only with the red flashing light on and sensitivity 4. If anyone has any advice re better settings in the field I'd be interested to hear.

The end caps seem very tight to get on. I'm a bit tentative to force it on as I'm paranoid about breaking the unit. Anyone else had this problem?

Cheers and HH.

Sorry to bump my own message but have any other Deteknix pointer owners found that the protective end caps are really hard to get on?

Hi beaubrummell, I always find with many different pointers you have to be very careful not to cross thread when putting the cap on, I tend to push the cap down level so the thread locates first then start to tighten ::g

Thanks Mrix but I'm talking about the protective tips supplied by Deteknix not the screw cap at the other end. ::g ::g

OK now, all sorted. I stretched the tip out a bit using a corkscrew handle and now all's well !!

I followed the instructions on the A4 sheet headed '3. Change Alarm/Indication/Flashlight Mode' that came with it and it saved my settings fine.

cheers for that, I didn't get A4 PAPER with mine, but watched the vid followed process, but mine doesn't save after i switch off, the sensitivity or depth defaults to the first beep --- i.e 1inch instead of about 3" max depth.

so I think im going to send it back under warranty, apart from that it's a super bit of kit had it since august ish and it's really took a pounding and i have no problems using it for 10 hr stints.

cheers
