6mxi will it be affected by wet ground conditions /settings

Post by Shetland » Mon Jan 22, 2018 8:54 pm

Out tomorrow on my first proper session with the 6mxi. The permission I have basically gives me access to three very large horse fields / paddock areas on what appears to be a clay with a loamy top couple of inches / shortish grass. The fields seem constantly damp everywhere to squelchy in some areas.
Spoke to the elderly owners and they say that it has not been detected in there time, so never in view of their age, and have had horses on it at certain times and thats all. Seems no reason to think the fields will be littered with much in the way of ring pulls, foil etc but expect possibly some iron , anyway tomorrow will tell.
Any advice please on a starting point settings ? Also do you think the damp conditions will likely be beneficial or detrimental to depth etc ::g 98;

Best of luck today!
The clay layer could have stopped everything getting
Deep...which could be very good..
Like hoovering a carpet ::g
damp conditions usually feel like a help as well
The ‘halo’ effect from objects long in the ground should be in full effect.
Have fun
