Spoke to the elderly owners and they say that it has not been detected in there time, so never in view of their age, and have had horses on it at certain times and thats all. Seems no reason to think the fields will be littered with much in the way of ring pulls, foil etc but expect possibly some iron , anyway tomorrow will tell.
Any advice please on a starting point settings ? Also do you think the damp conditions will likely be beneficial or detrimental to depth etc

The clay layer could have stopped everything getting
Deep...which could be very good..
Like hoovering a carpet
damp conditions usually feel like a help as well
The ‘halo’ effect from objects long in the ground should be in full effect.
