Its true there are not many members here with one of the bounty hunter brands but I think thats because you can buy better brands from the price they are new...
For £70 I would snap their hand off :) B-)
From looking around the reviews seem pretty good and that model appears to be a £275 to £350 machine if purchased in the UK.
Cheers

Yeah I've got an 1100 seems to detect very well and it's not too heavy, only thing I've found is that when I set to to ignore iron if it finds large iron items the beep at mid range and that can be a little annoying but I'm having fun and that's what it's all about for me :-)

i know this is an old post but i read on another forum that the bounty hunter 3300 is the same as the fisher F4, does any one know if this is right?
But I wanted to find a hoard of Roman coins, or a sword or a Viking helmet! I'm really, I'm not into archaeology, I'm into piracy!

No, it's incorrect. It is built into the same case as the Fisher F2/F4, though, and and will probably have similar behaviour. The search coil is the F2's one, I think (standard Bounty Hunter model)

No just joking ;)
Amongst my 'collection' of detectors I have a virtually un used BH 3300, good machine, but I upgraded after a couple of weeks, and 3 times since then.It was the lightest machine I've owned.
