CS4PI on soil?

Post by lonecoiler » Fri Oct 26, 2018 1:58 pm

I have used my CS4PI on the beach and it is cracking. As I tend to dig every signal I am considering using it on my farm permission and giving the 250 the day off.Has anyone used the CS on land what are your thoughts.
The land I have has a lot of coke I was hoping the pi would fare better than the 250

No, but I have thought about using a pi on pasture, so please keep me informed of your experience ::g

CS4Pi great on wet and dry sand.
Took it out as back up on stubble once, could not get it to settle, even with turning the dials down was continuously falsing.
Take it out with the 250 and see how you get on,may be your land is different. If it does not work properly at least you can continue with the 250,rather than having a wasted outing.
Best of luck and let us know how you get on. ::g

yes guys the 4pi is a Great beach machine/ 1st choice for me....
I have also used it on some in land sites/more out of an experiment/curiosity ...
found on perm pasture its ok/good/ with limited iron around deep signals very usable ::g
as for arable where plenty of iron small and large are buried/not so straight forward. which is expected from a pulse induction machine/ I would suggest you give the 250 a day off and give the 4pi a spin on your inland sites if only out of curiosity and an experimental search, what harm can it do/ and see how u go :-/
Good hunting... ::g
