Opening Everslab coin capsules

Post by jingernut » Wed Mar 23, 2016 1:51 pm

Just wondering if anyone has a good technique for opening the everslab coin capsules without damaging the capsule (or the coin!). On their site they can they can be opened with a knife or sharp object. Thanks.

There are specialist plastic tools for opening the cases of electrical devices, such as replacing the battery in an I-Pod etc. They have various sharp and blunt 'prying' ends on them, maybe they would suit?

The everslab ones don't have slots in the side, that has given me an idea though to get the dremmel out and make some slots though so that i can get some leverage on the side. Thanks.
