I am after April's one, I have been buying this and searcher for a couple of months, both top mags, and price not bad, am considering doing a TH subscription, I will ask then about back issues, may give them a ring tommorow, will post an update then

Re-Minelabs, loads of Etrac setting on the web, I have an Explorer SE Pro, if I can be of any help ?

Hi Dave i appreciate any help as i am not convinced that doing an air test on say a gold ring giving a reading of say 8 for ferrous content and maybe 10 for conduct... is goingt o mean you will find a gold ring under the ground with the same reading as there is ground mineralisation and magnetic interference what have you learnt i the best setting for in the field as these are simulr machines...no

Hi, I am still quite new my self but air test should only be used as a guide, below is a list of random coins and the values, these were all placed under a flat bag of sivved dirt about 1 inch deep, Ferius and Conductive, Gold is a problem, they can read the same as a ring pull. For me it depends on the site I dig, normally I dig all but Iron, but on the park/wood that I am allowded on, I only coin shoot for high conductive targets as I like to limit the amout of holes I dig, problem I have there is, know mater how good I plug the holes sum are dug out by animals, I have to go round on return visits making good any damage ! I think at 1st it is best to dig everything as ground conditions do effect the readings, also a very large object thais is deep can be reported as a shallower smaller one, drink tin lids are a pain as well as crown/bottle tops. Re- rings, I did air test some but have not found any gold yet, I did read on here a US servey that for every 400 ring pulls you will find a gold ring, don't know how true that is. on another note, do the noise cancelle thing on you detector as it can make quite a difference to the sensitivity, if you have the setting
