My first finds with my first detector 2 Elizabeth the second sixpences a very small pistol ball and a small bullet, and what looks like a key hole cover, plus loads of iron and bits of lead :E
the sixpences are dated 1957 and 1959 and i found them about 25 cm down. ::g

Nice finds for your first hunt and great to hear that you have buddied up with Bob 'the log'!

The keyhole cover looks similar to the ones that my Grandfather used when he was a carpenter so my guess would be post World War II which fits in with the coinage.

What kind of area are you detecting at the moment - private land/garden or pasture maybe?
Wandering off to the fields with my Makro Racer 2.

Although, I enjoyed the walk with my Bounty Hunter Tracker IV!
