CTX3030 Pinpointer

Post by mjn90 » Mon Oct 22, 2018 9:12 pm

I have noticed a few times recently that the pin pointer still sounds as if over target when i have moved the coil away from it.
It does not feel as if the button is stuck?
Any suggestions as to what could cause this?

Probably not the source of your problem, but have you checked that pinpoint lock is not selected in the user button menu?

Sometimes I get that, I believe it is when there is a lot of processing going on in the detector and there is a slight lag. Mine only does it once in a blue moon. I also have the GPS running, so this may add to the machine doing a lot at once.

Thank you for your suggestions.
I was not aware the ctx had a pinpoint lock I will check that tomorrow.
Also regarding the processing maybe but I have never used the GPS facility yet.
