3030 Id numbers on screen

Post by Junior » Sun Oct 07, 2018 6:46 am

On rallys I'm being a bit naughty due to the time constraints with the Id no's I now don't dig anything below 22-?? ( as all I've ever got is iron once dug out at this no and below ) even if good 2 way signal ..just wondered has anyone had anything good from around or below this area...I'm using tadpoles 2 variation....thank you... ::g

Something strange there mate, most of my best finds come in under 22 on the CTX, hammered pennies approx 12/12, pewter buttons can go down as low as 4/5. ::g

Nomally run it open screen, 2 tone.

Yep agree totally, 12/10 - 12/12 when I've bothered to look at the numbers for hammered.

But I generally don't use the numbers as a guide just the tones. Any good 2 way signal needs to be dug!

Yep, agree with the previous replies. Don't want to rub it in but you've most likely missed some goodies ignoring those lower numbers. If you are getting good 2 way signals, always best to dig.
Now, can you remember which fields you were on ? x;

Presumably you mean FE 22, rather than CO?

If so, I can't recall finding much of interest below the 22 line, but I still tend to dig down to 25.

Yes, but he's talking about not digging FE22 down to FE35, which isn't going to cost him much in the way of good finds.

He doesn't mention FE 35 !! I guess it can viewed both ways. To me when he says lower than FE 22 i,m assuming lower in number i.e.FE 21 and so on.

DON'T LOOK AT THE SCREEN!! Cover the next to useless thing with tape if you can't stop looking at it & as mentioned above - dig any two way signals. ::g

Bless the CTX and its amazing ability to confuse everyone! :D

As you've gathered, I meant lower on the screen, rather than numerically.
