Just bought this coil for my minelab xterra 705 apart from tweaking the settings is there any other things need doing .Did read once switched on need to hold + and- buttons for a while to reset machine i have tried this but apart from a continuous noise nothing happens .Have bought same coil for grandsons Garret ace 250 is there anything special needs doing to this one .Thanks in advance.

No idea although i own a 705 so im very curious myself as ive thought about upgrading coils, i read that all you do is plug in and set up as normal though

When you press the buttons together I think you get a continuos tone. You will see all the screen graphics gradually build up. Once all the graphics have built up its all done.

If I switch to my Nell before I go out I reset the machine and go and have a coffee for 5 mins to get away from that continuous tone. You have to put it back into normal mode once it has done

I had the same coil for my 705 , I just swapped it over and away I went , I did find it more sensitive so had to drop the sensitivity a smidge , good combination tho.
