Hi and welcome to the forums
I have split your first post away from an old thread you had found
It is often more productive for you to start your own threads which will hopefully get a better response
If you look to the left l;/ we also have an introduction forum where you can give folk some information about yourself etc
Good luck and happy hunting

Hi Razor, don't be put off by a slightly tactless post. I have looked at it on suppliers web site and it looks like a decent machine, not overly complicated. There are lots of posts about your detector on the detector forum l;/ once you have used it a few times I am sure you will enjoy it. Good luck. :;@

hi rayzor this is no good as your first detector. what you should of got was a garrett 250.
as they easy to use.
It’s all a Bit of a personal choice on detectors. I know someone who used a lazer trident with great results and lots use the garrett.
You’ll learn it quickly if you just google and watch YouTube vids.
Start with the basic settings, as in high sensitivity and low ish discrimination. Dig lots and you’ll soon be there.

Hi Rayzor
First of all my apologies for that negative comment that slipped through our net
If i had seen that i would have removed that comment. I will leave it now as it forms part of your thread and has already been negated by a few posters

The laser Trident is ok as a first machine
It will find metal items if they are in the ground where you are detecting
Please ignore such comments and learn the nuances of your machine
Good luck

hello, nothing wrong with a laser trident 1 , quite easy to set up, there must be a video on U tube for setting up but its pretty straight forward, good detector for coins/ small artifacts, mid range 14 Khz with shift frequencies in case you interference, good luck

Hi Rayzor,welcome.
I'd argue that an analogue detector like the Trident is a good starting point,a better 'apprenticeship' into detecting than an out of the box ready digital machine.
Teaches you the value of persistence and patience and the ability to listen to your machine.
Had a Cibola before my Garrett, still take it for a spin sometimes.
Plenty of tutorials out there to help, plus loads of advice here.
Happy hunting.😊
