Well tried a new tatic, sought permission to dig a pub field, pub dates back to 1402
Day 1 3.5 hour session produced 39 copper coins mostly George 3rd to Vicky, vicky Shilling 1841.
Day 2 2 Silver Victorian Braclets.... Bullhead 1816 Sixpence, 46 coins ranging from george 3rd to 4.19 in spendables.... on my video i predicted a bit of gold, thinking i might get a ring, as im now thinking this could be the old village green after looking at old maps!.
Day 3 Gold in the Hole! but not what i expected! what a corker, another 35 coins George 2nd to spenables only 6p today! artifacts and brooch!.
now when i got home and cleaned it ow wow! when i dug it the reverse side looked like a new pound coin.. it was like brand new! then i looked in spinks and nearly spat me coffee out the landowners are over the moon with the history coming up including clay pipe bowls, pottery, and badges etc... they have bought it recently and i suggested i would put all the finds in a display frame to hang on the wall, they loved the idea.... each side of my all about me cards will be in there... I advised them not to put the Gold in there
Now this is the second small permission i have thats under 2 acres and is producing huge amounts of coinage... changing tactics from Big Farms... Smallholdings and pubs more stuff, less walking! more action! nice people and appreciate the history... plus sustaining local enconmy in me purchasing eggs etc...and soon drinking beer and cider .... <:-P
Good luck all

Barley increased in price that year due to a beer bill in the house of lords, would put the link up but google it for the info, prices would have gone up a little
