My best Roman coin

Post by Roger »

Managed 3hrs Sunday morning on the site of a Roman warehouse / storage building in Somerset, always good for a few grotty bronzes but has never produced a silver for me, I picked up 5 toasted little bronzes in the lovely sun. As I was about to head for home I tried a area that has not produced much bar lead when this bad boy popped up a nice Vespasian Denarius. a bit of a choppy 21 on the equinox an was deep, after the plug was out it was jumping into the low 30s! Took a bit of digging but was well worth it!

For some reason Vespasian is my favourite Emperor. Probably because that was my 1st Denarius and I Id`d it myself.

Neoww, not showing us the reverse is like leaving the punchline off a joke and is, besides, mental cruelty :)

I agree with Dave, only in my case it's possibly more of a beg.
