Elizabeth I Sixpence

Post by ashjacko »

I can't believe it!

I went out this morning on a field that was really long grass but there's been 11 horses in there for a week so it was getting chomped down a fair bit.

So in I went it was still a little tufty but ok, first signal was a bit of foil, second signal was a horse strap with a buckle on and the third signal was in the clod so I said out loud ''well that's not good'' it was only three inches deep and bang it was an Elizabeth I sixpence dated 1574. It was slightly bent but hot water and it bent back ok.

Second hole on Sunday was silver and third hole today! I came straight home as the rest of the field was to long so was only out for around 20 minutes.

Thank you, I'm a photographer so use a little black reflective set up in a dark room and use long exposure.
