Got to love a Lizzie

Post by pengles » Fri Jul 12, 2019 8:53 am

Popped out for a couple of hours yesterday on a fallow field permission, still full of stubble. Never been on that particular field before but stopped off at the retired farm managers house for a chat and pick his brains as he has been detecting the farm for 20yrs and has a mass of finds. Yes, he'd found a few things in that particular field, but nothing to set the world alight. Oh well, it was a nice day, so let's have a go. 20 feet into the field got a banging signal and out popped this rather nice Lizzie. Thought I'd put it on here as I think it's the first hammered I've found that's not been beaten to death by a plough. 4" down using factory 'fast' programme with full tones on the Deus. Don't know the numbers I'm afraid as I have the lite version and didn't look at the puck at the time.

Wow! I haven't had any coin holder than a really worn Viccy but saw some at the local.club meet this week. I was in awe of them.

I look forward to finding my own.

Lovely coin.

A very nice example which ,most unusually, has neither suffered damage or been 'clipped' by the many 'Scallywags' of the day. Nice to see ::g Regards ss47
