Tudor button??

Post by Earthdawg » Tue Feb 13, 2018 8:39 am

This was winked out by my mates 10 year old son.... he was using his Garrett 400i on custom set up.
The location was Northampton area close to a small village crossroads to a roman market town.
Depth was 10 inches on pasture...... nice complete button....was wondering if it could be a Tudor button??
Any ideas please

That is a nice little button complete with it's attachment loop and quite unusual in style ::g

But probably not Tudor, it looks Victorian or even Edwardian to me but might be a little earlier. The Tudor buttons were solid cast and that one is two piece (loop and stamped body). ::g
