A good Day.

Post by Spearhead » Fri Dec 15, 2017 6:48 pm

Snow has cleared and I got out on stubble today. It was a good day with a number of good finds, decorated spindle whorl, Medieval book clasp and a few other bits. As for coins, it was a great day. an 1844 half sovereign, a George 2nd 4 pence 1746- my first one of these and a pretty rough short cross penny.
Allectus, can you please help me identify the short cross, its pretty poor condition but you may be able to work out the monarch and the mint?
