What are the chances ? denarius fragment 2 13th Aug 2019

Post by stubble hunter » Tue Aug 13, 2019 9:47 pm

Today I returned to a large club field that is over 30 acres and is in tough barley stubble.
Last week I found a denarius fragment that Allectus kindly ID'd

viewtopic.php?f=120&t=113383

Today, remarkably, I found another part of the coin! :-O
I was not gridding this field just wandering around and at some point found myself in the same area as last week.
Again just a whispery signal but enough to get my interest.
I was just about to post an ID request for this second fragment and then I had a lightbulb moment .. was it part of the first one?. And indeed it certainly looks that way.
So no ID request needed folks but I thought it would be nice to post up the new fragment

And re-unite it with the first one!

Now all I have to do is find the remaining two parts of the jigsaw! :))
