The Charles 1st Half Groat has some very good detail.
Coin does not appear to be double struck, so I am wondering if someone has tried to pass this off as a Groat by adding their own extra 'II' two pence mark above the official one.
Is this coin larger or heavier than it should be ?
Good find, ::g

The Roman is unfortunately a fairly typical example of a 4th century coin i.e. pretty knackered. Good chance of it being a Reece Period 17 (AD 330-348) contemporary copy in that condition.
