I guess this could be a pipe tamper, i've not found one before. It is quite heavy for it's size 1.75" long and i'm not sure of the metl, could it be brass or bronze? It seems quite muscular to some i've seen in other posts. Found using basic prog. about 3-4 " deep after rough ploughing. TIA. ::g

Yar. Pipe tamper, possibly modelled on 1960s E European shot putter.

Yet to find one (pipe tamper, that is, not an E European)
Essential equipment:
Some sort of electrical gubbins(I'm told it's a Deus). In various colours
Jenkins
Gin.
