Roman/Saxon brooch

Post by hadri » Mon May 13, 2019 6:56 pm

Hi all.
I found this brooch on Saturday with my ctx using a deep silver programme and 17 inch coil.
Found on ploughed field about 5" down , I think it's a crossbow brooch but not sure if Saxon or Roman as both early and late Saxon brooches have been found on the same field .
Any help would be great.
Many thanks.
