Can anyone identify this please?

Post by tctron » Fri May 24, 2019 1:16 pm

Hi guys,

Found this a while back but never popped it up on the forum for ID. It was found on pasture next to an old Georgian farm. Roughly was at about 6 inches deep. Material wise I'm thinking copper or bronze, definitely not iron. It's fairly crudely made, looks and feels almost hand made and also looks decorative to me, maybe a pendant or something?

Thanks in advance ::g

Thank you for your input Mancave-ma. Have just googled it and it does look very similar especially this one...

But none of the ones I've seen online have a hole at the top? Or bottom in this case.

Thanks again for your input ::g

Similar finds are on the UKDFD website and remain unidentified
...or at least they were when I was last able to access that website.
